Meet The Principal

Meet Mr. Michael Miller, principal of the Early College Academy.

What do you like about your current role as a principal at BCCS?

As a principal in Brooklyn Center Community Schools, I appreciate the opportunity to be in community with our students and families. Whether it is seeing our students in the building each day at the Early College Academy, connecting with students in the Insight Online classes, or talking with families at the block party, conferences or open house, it's great to make those connections and be in community. I also really enjoy our team that we have in Alternative Programs. Everyone is always focused on how they can care for our students and families and support one another.

What is a fun fact you would like our community to know about you?

In my seven years in Brooklyn Center Community Schools I've worked in all four of our schools - Brooklyn Center Secondary, Brooklyn Center Elementary, Insight Online School and the Early College Academy. I've loved my time in BCCS and I think having an opportunity to be in all of our schools has given me a perspective that has helped me see the bigger picture of how we can support our students, families, staff and community.
