About ECA

Brooklyn Center Early College Academy (ECA) offers students a learning experience customized to their needs while providing the skills to succeed after graduation. ECA students develop close relationships with staff and their peers in a tight-knit learning community where everyone helps one another succeed. Staff have high expectations built on trust so each student reaches their highest potential.
Current students and recent graduates said they picked the ECA for the following reasons:

Students at the ECA have the opportunity to attend college courses at MCTC and NHCC starting in grade 10. Staff members customize instruction for all students in small classroom settings. Courses offered cover the core content areas of math, science, social studies and language arts.
Students can choose from a large variety of online courses in order to meet their graduation requirements. In addition to academics and field trips. Students at Brooklyn Center Early College Academy have access to support services such as mental health and chemical dependency counseling, and child care services. Finally, students can also participate in after school programming and/or summer school to recover credits or prepare for state testing.
